Simon Yapp and I at the Mid Sussex Music Festival yesterday in Hassocks. Such a fantastic day and on the same bill as Robert Vincent, Treetop Flyers, Diana Jones, The Self Help Group and others, who were all absolutely brilliant! Thank you Brighthelmstone Promotions for putting on this fantastic three day event. https://youtu.be/mWK-YfV1zcg
After those two years of pandemic lockdown, and in attempt to get away from the distress of watching the ongoing Conservative leadership elections, I have been out and about gigging a fair bit over the last few months. Here are links to some videos up on Facebook of a gig I did this week for Hive Events at The Pavilion Cafe in Eastbourne. These tracks will be on a new album I have been working on for the last two years, with Simon Yapp, Brione Jackson, Nick Van Vlaenderen and others, which will be released very soon…
Really looking forward to playing at Mid Sussex Music & Ale Festival, Hassocks Hotel Music Hall, Hassocks…Simon and I are playing midday Saturday 27th August 2022…It’s a great weekend of music from Friday to Sunday with fantastic bands like The Self Help Group, Peter Bruntnell https://www.facebook.com/peterbruntnell , Treetop Flyers, and the Robert Vincent Band !!
Had a great time last night playing a sold out show at Mid Sussex Music Hall, Hassocks Hotel, in Hassocks, supporting The Self Help Group and Seadog. First gig back as a duo since the pandemic, with Simon Yapp…And in the picture is my new 12 string Guild…
“Ian Roland played a solo set showcasing songs from his Double Rainbow album from last year. Intricate beautiful 12 String guitar and strong vocals drew in the room and songwriting with a contemporary folk flavour felt current and topical. A great set and a lovely genuine artist.
Credit always goes to a good audience, and last night was wonderful with great friends and first timer Unplugged newbies joining in to listen, appreciate and sing along. The result was a welcome to our musicians that made the night an unforgettable one. Another step to bring live music back to an appreciative listening audience. ” Live at Thornsett Road (LaTR) at Three Hounds Beer Company, Beckenham 17th Nov 2021
